Three new complexes [Cd(Hflu):(N03)](N03) 1, [Cd(H20)(Hflu)2(Hmalo)](N03)-2(H20) 2, and [Cd(H20)(Htlu):(Hrum)](N05)-2(H:0) 3 (Hflu = [2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-l,3-bis( 1,2,4-triazol-l-yl)-propan-2-ol]. H:fum = fumaric acid, H:malo = malonate acid) are synthesized by a solution diffusion method and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods, elemental analyses. IR spectroscopy as well as thermal analyses. In compound 1, Cd(II) cations are bridged by fluconazole ligands to form 2D Cd—Hflu layers, and these layers are further connected by С—H---F hydrogen bonds to form a complicated 3D structure with the topology of (4-6-8)(4-64-84-10)(6-3). Compounds 2 and 3 arc isostructural, and in them the Cd(II) cations are bridged by fluconazole ligands to form a 2D network, which is connected by С—H -О hydrogen bonds to form a complicated 3D (3,4)-conncctcd framework with the topology of (4-82)(4-85).

We present density functional calculations of 02 and CO adsorption on an AlAu6 cluster. It is found that in the AlAu6 cluster the active sites would be first occupied by coming 02 rather than CO due to a more negative binding energy of the former. Furthermore, the catalytic mechanisms of CO oxidation in AlAu6 clusters, which are based on a single CO molecule and double CO molecules, are discussed. This investigation reveals that the reaction of a single CO molecule with the AlAu602 complex has the lowest activation barrier (0.27 eV), which is 0.51 eV lower than that of the pure Au^ cluster. For the AlAu602(C0)2 complex, due to the structural distortion of the Аu6 cluster, the activation barrier of the determination rate is higher by 0.53 cV than that of the AlAu6O2CO complex, which shows that the cooperation effect of the second CO molecule can go against CO oxidation. For the А1@Аu6О2(СО)2 complex, the activation barrier of the determination rate is lower by 0.07 eV than the path of one CO molecule, which demonstrates that the cooperation effect of the second CO molecule can prompt CO oxidation.

Современные открытия молекулярной физиологии фибриллина и патофизиологии синдрома Марфана (СМ) и родственных нарушений соединительной ткани изменили наше понимание этих состояний, продемонстрировав изменение сигнальной активности ростовых факторов и матрично-клеточного взаимодействия. Одной из причин СМ — аутосомно-доминантного заболевания соединительной ткани — являются мутации в гене фибриллина-1, аномалия которого способствует избыточной активации трансформирующего ростового фактора-β (TGF–β). Увеличенная активность TGF– β может способствовать мультисистемному проявлению патологического процесса, включая развитие миксоматозных изменений атриовентрикулярных клапанов, аневризмы и расслоения аорты, гипермобильности суставов. Предполагается, что анти-TGF–β терапевтическая стратегия способна предотвратить опасные для жизни проявления этих нарушений соединительной ткани.

The article deals with the cobalt ions cathode reduction regularities occurred under various conditions. It is shown, that if Co(II) ions reduction proceeds in two steps under relatively low current density, forming polycrystalline deposit, there may occur special conditions at the boundary of growing crystals that may lead to delay of the second electron transfer to Co(I) intermediate particle. It results in its chemical or electrochemical oxidation formation of oxygen-containing compounds, incorporated into cathodic coating, instead of its reduction to the metal adatom. The adsorbed Co(I) intermediates may chemically interact with surface-active substances and other components of electrolyte, as well as result the hydrogen formation by means of an unconventional mechanism which is different from Volmer-Tafel and Volmer-Heyrovsky mechanisms.

Purpose: Orthogonal matrices with many applications introduced by J. J. Sylvester have been become famous: Hadamard matrices, symmetric conference matrices, and weighing matrices are the best known of these matrices with entries from the unit disk. The goal of this note is to develop a theory of such orthogonal matrices based on preliminary research results. Methods: Extreme solutions (using the determinant) have been established by minimization of the maximum of the absolute values of the elements of the matrices followed by their subsequent classification. Results: We show that if S is a core of a symmetric conference weighing matrix, then there exists a three-level orthogonal matrix, X. We apply this result to the three-level matrices given by Paley using Legendre symbols to give a new infinite family of Cretan orthogonal matrices. An algorithmic optimization procedure is known which raises the value of the determinant. Our example is for Cretan matrices upto, say four decimal places (but could be made more). Practical relevance: The over-riding aim is to seek Cretan matrices as they have many applications in image processing (compression, masking) to statisticians undertaking medical or agricultural research, and to obtain lossless circuits for telecommunications conference networking. Web addresses are given for other illustrations and other matrices with similar properties. Algorithms to construct Cretan matrices have been implemented in developing software of the research program-complex.

Hadamard matrices, symmetric conference matrices, and weighing matrices are the best known of these matrices with entries from the unit disk. Methods: Extreme solutions (using the determinant) have been established by minimization of the maximum of the absolute values of the elements of the matrices followed by their subsequent classification. Results: We give a three-level Cretan(37). This is new and the first time such a matrix has been found whose order is other than a 2k, k is an even integer. The methods given in this note may be used to construct many more Cretan matrices based on regular Hadamard matrices. Practical relevance: The over-riding aim is to seek Cretan(n) with absolute or relative (local) maximal determinants as they have many applications in image processing and masking. Web addresses are given for other illustrations and other matrices with similar properties. Algorithms to construct Cretan matrices have been implemented in developing software of the research programcomplex.

В статье осуществлен сопоставительный анализ стихотворений Дж. -Г. Байрона, относящихся к его элегическому циклу "К Тирзе", и их русских переводов, осуществленных в 1890-е гг. Д. Л. Михаловским. Отмечается мастерство переводчика, сохранившего особенности оригинального авторского замысла великого английского поэта, приводятся конкретные факты привнесения в переводной текст отдельных художественных деталей, характеризуется специфика восприятия русским интерпретатором образов лирического героя и его умершей возлюбленной.
