Требования к рукописям статей,
поступающим в журнал «Обсерватория культуры»
• Редакция принимает ранее не опубликованные статьи.
• При решении о публикации принимаются во внимание актуальность темы, четкая
постановка исследуемой проблемы и логика ее решения. В статье должны быть
представлены научные или прикладные результаты исследования, сделаны
соответствующие выводы.
• Редакция сообщает автору о решении редколлегии по поводу публикации
в течение 2-х месяцев со дня регистрации рукописи в редакции.
• Объем рукописей не должен превышать 35—40 тыс. знаков. Превышение объема
может служить основанием для отказа в публикации.
• Правила оформления статьи:
рукописи принимаются по электронной почте в виде текстового файла в формате
Word. Форматирование не допускается;
оформление сносок и примечаний в пределах статьи должно быть единообразным.
Желательна сплошная нумерация сносок.
• Статья завершается списком литературы, составленным в порядке упоминания
в тексте статьи. Ссылки на литературу в тексте даются в квадратных скобках,
в которых помещается порядковый номер источника и номера страниц.
• К рукописям прилагаются:
резюме статьи объемом не более 400 знаков и список ключевых слов (не менее 8)
на английском и русском языках; классификационные индексы ББК и УДК;
сведения об авторе: фамилия, имя, отчество полностью; ученые степени
и звания; должность и место работы.
• Плата за публикацию статей не взимается.

SUMMARIES
The Problem of Self-Determination of Cultural Discourse (by Valentina Dianova) deals with theoretical approaches
to examining the possibilities of forming scientific discourse. The processes of efficient interaction, interference, and
integration of the humanities are analyzed. Some peculiarities of forming cultural discourse are studied in the context
of European culture.

The Phenomenology of the Creative Mind (by Alexis Guryanov) considers one of the most popular concepts in
modern culture — creativity. It is often used in its particular sense as a product of aesthetic activity, which is not quite
correct: any activity aiming at transformation of being-in-the-world may be called creative. The article’s purpose is to
define dialectics of creativity in its main forms.

Value as a Factor of National Self-Determination (by Eugene Kafyrin) tries to prove the possibility and desirability
of constructing a hierarchical system of values that gives priority to the interests of humanity. Basing on a brief excursion
into the axiology and in the context of the relationship of universal and national aspects of the study, their unity is
realized in the course of self-determination of the nation.

Social and Cultural Features of Rationality (by Raisa Ubaydullaeva) considers the socio-cultural specifics of the
rationalization of social life spheres. The author develops a theory of rationality by clarifying the definitions of rationality
and the types of rationality, rejects scientist understanding of rationality, represents rationalization not only as a dynamic
process of intellectualization, but as a contradictory process of spiritual and moral perfection. The sociological study of the
spiritual world of youth groups reveals the spiritual and moral significance of personality in the prevention of deviance.

Internet in 2025: Development, Stagnation, Collapse? Reflections in the Light of New Forecasts (by Tatiana
Savitskaya) deals with the forecast of the Internet development for the period before 2025. The forecast was published
in August 2010 by Cisco Co, and the division of global business networks of the consulting firm Monitor Group. Involving
the additional statistical materials the article’s author analyzes some of the identified in the forecast major trends in
web development in this period, assesses four scenarios of future network evolution.

Humanitarian Geography and Architecture: in Search of Co-spatiality (by Dmitry Zamyatin) compares
humanitarian geography and architecture in relation to the main subject of their research, meditation, and action —
space, reveals the specifics of spaciousness in each of the disciplines.

Models of Patronage in Modern Russia (by Helen Anissina) considers the models of modern Russian philanthropy;
its motives and principles of interaction between state, society, business, and socio-cultural sphere; organizational
structures and forms of assistance in the field of culture. The presented models (business model, mediation model, and
socio-cultural model) correspond with today’s practices; take into account interests of all involved parties that allow
recommending them for implementation.

Types of Inversive Transformation as Ways of Formation in Music Culture (by Paul Lukichev, Julia Sakharova)
describes the inversion appearing forms on different levels of music culture. The types of inversive transformation are
revealed as ways of music formation. Particular attention is given to consideration of the serializing phenomenon in the
context of general cultural processes of the XX century and to the explanation on the given example of possible reasons
of inversive transformations.

The phenomenon of the visual image (by Ekaterina Salnikova) analyzes the semantic of the contemporary
technical visual culture, its principle of the remote control, the revolution of medium in XIX—XX centuries. The
author compares the visual materials of photography, cinema, television and the aesthetic material of fine arts. The
article deals with the process of existence of visual images, its independence of the traditional tactile contacts.

On the Cultural Inheritance of the Literary Tradition (by Yuri Serenkov) carries out cultural analysis of the
difficulties and the prospects for studying the interaction of creative generations in the context of historically
mature national culture and the effects of literary translation of «foreign» cultural meanings in traditional societies
of innovative types. British «Arthurian» literary tradition is seen as a catalyst for cultural identity in USA and indirect
factor of the acculturated changes in U.S. social and cultural environment.

Monuments Preservation in Russia in the Second Half of the XIX Century and the Establishment of the State
Scientific Archive Commissions (by Galina Aksenova) describes the problem of the history of hand-written books
protection in Russia in the second half of the XIX century and examines the main legislative acts of that historical period,
associated with registration and the study of written records, as well as conditions of their storage.

The Mission of the Capital (by Nina Gryaznova, Tatiana Gulina) deals with the problems, arising during the
preparation for working out the catalogues of book monuments. The main attention is paid to the partner interactions
between specialists of the regional and capital-based institutions of culture, science, and education in the case of
making the catalogue of book monuments in the Cyrillic font in the collections of the Yaroslavl region. The results of
the 10-years work in this field are examined here.

Ancient Adygean Ceremony at Bed-Side of the Patient “Chapsh” as the Social and Cultural Institution
(by Aminet Siyukhova) systematizes numerous data about an ancient Caucasian ceremony at bed-side of the
patient (“chapsh”) on purpose to reveal its institutional signs. On the basis of the analysis of significant aspects of
a ceremony “chapsh” the author draws conclusions about content, structure, general semantics, symbolical basis
of concrete ceremonial actions and things, about cultural sense of a ceremony in spiritually-practical activities of
ethnic society.

Stanislavsky and We (by Leo Sachs) states the negatively alienated attitude of post-Soviet cultural consciousness
towards the personality and cultural heritage of K.S. Stanislavsky and tries to interpret therefore the spirit-and-value
foundations of his theatrical activities and the acute necessity of «the Stanislavsky culture» for the domestic artwork
subjects in the time of fundamental choice between dominated in reality pragmatics and spiritual essence of art.

Functionality of the Costume as a Translator of Social Values (by Vlada Lipskaya) considers the problem of how
the values, postulated by means of a dress and actually are already present in society in the potential or real forms, are
being visualized, formed, and developed, and sometimes even anticipated.

The Problem of the Genesis and Typology of Ensemble Music-Making Forms (by Angela Khokhlova) is devoted
to the problem of the genesis and typology of ensemble forms of music-making as a special type of human thinking.
It outlines a view of the genre morphology which is a phenomenon of complex, versatile, crystallizing in the cultural
memory of the whole.

Jewelry Culture: Basic Concepts and Features of Modern Development (by Dmitry Dronov) examines the basic
concepts and main terms of jewelry culture. It gives the classification of this culture using the features of manufacturing
techniques of ornaments, analyzing the peculiarities of modern jewelry culture’s development.

Semantics of Death Motifs in the Works of K.S. Petrov-Vodkin (by Tatiana Khristolyubova) analyses semantics
of death motifs in the works of Russian artist K.S. Petrov-Vodkin by example of both his paintings and drawings. The
death motif in the artist’s picture of the world is considered both in religious-philosophical and in historical context
of the first third of the ХХ century in Russia.

“American Something”: a New World through the Eyes of Maxim Gorky, Sergei Esenin and Vladimir Mayakovsky
(by Daria Khadeeva) deals with the three views on America of the first third of the twentieth century: by Maxim
Gorky, Sergei Esenin, and Vladimir Mayakovsky. It examines the problems of their travel essays, as well as methods
used by the authors to achieve the challenges facing them. Particular attention is paid to the writers’ dialogue in their
journalistic works.

Book-Plate as an Artistic Phenomenon in the History of Silver Age Collecting (by Nadejda Morozova) is devoted
to book-plates of the first quarter of the twentieth century, their stylistic features and connection with the work of
artists in the magazines of the Silver Age. It also considers the influence of the individual manner of the artist and the
artistic environment on the structure and composition of book-plates. Material for investigation is the book-plates in
the collection and archives of the Moscow collector and art critic P.D. Ettinger, from the Foundation Division of graphics
of the Pushkin Art Museum.

Implementation of Social Status in Japanese Discourse (by Alexis Palkin) deals with the Japanese language
which is rich in speech styles and discourse strategies. Strict hierarchism of Japanese society implies standardisation
of turns of speech in different situations of communication. This standardisation of speech, however, does not restrict
one’s creativity as can be seen, particularly, in Japanese poetry.

Life Objects in Everyday Culture of the Central Volga Region in the Second Half of the XIX Century (by Vladimir
Krasnoschekov) considers some characteristic features of the specific life objects of the people living in Central Volga
region and role of this objects in everyday culture of this region in the second half of the XIX century. Some culturalhistorical
factors are analyzed, as well as determined its influence on the way and of geography of objects making.
