АннотацияA versatile multidentate triazole ligand 3-(2-pyridyl)-5-(2-pyrazinyl)-1,2,4-triazole (L) and corresponding cadmium(II) salt have been employed under hydrothermal conditions, two novel coordination complexes [Cd2(μ4-L)2(H2O)2Cl2] (I) and [Cd2(μ4-L)2(H2O)2(NO3)2] (II) have been isolated and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis (CIF files CCDC nos. 1437860 (I), 1437861 (II)), FT-IR, UV-Vis spectra and photo-luminescent determination. For I and II L adopts the tetradentate coordination modes to bridge neighboring Cd(II) centers forming the bincular cluster-based coordination complexes. The intermolecular O–H···N, O–H···Cl and C–H···Cl hydrogen bonds further assemble I into a 3D supra-molecular architecture. The intermolecular O–H···O, O–H···N and C–H···O hydrogen bonds also assemble II into a 3D supra-molecular architecture. The strong fluorescent emission bands of I, II in aqueous solutions are centered at 450 nm, which can be ascribed to intra-ligand fluorescent emission. However the obvious fluorescence intensity enhancement for complexes I, II in comparison with free ligand L, may be due to the fact that the formation of binuclear cadmium(II) clusters, which increase in conformational rigidity of the ligands by chelation and cause decrease in non-radiative decay intraligand excited states through vibrational motion. The result suggests that complexes I, II may be a good candidate for potential hybrid inorganic-organic photoactive materials.
