АннотацияTwo novel double chain complexes [Cd(L)2I2] (I) and [Cu(L)2Cl2] (II) were generated based on angular ligand 4-methoxy-3,5-di(pyridin-4-yl)benzamide (L) with CdI2 and CuCl2. They were fully characterized by IR, elemental analysis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (CIF files CCDC nos. 1474500 (I) and 1474501 (II)). The single-crystal structure reveals that L acts as a bridging bidentate ligand to link metal centres to generate a double chains, further linked by hydrogen bond resulting in a 3D network. In addition, the luminescent properties of L and I, II were investigated primarily in the solid state.
