АннотацияInformation society increasingly expands opportunities of mass media as a tool to manipulate a human mind. Legal and moral principles of the journalist ethics are the most discussed issues in the regulation of the mass media in Russia and abroad. The authors explore the origin of a legal status of a journalist, modern legal and regulatory acts defining a scope of the media. They also give examples of some cases from a judicial practice concerning the ethics of publications. The study and analysis have enabled the authors to formulate a number of proposals for the consideration and solution of the problems related to the impartiality and honesty of journalists
